Shout Out...

Some people have the art of making me feel really happy even when there is nothing wrong.  For example, my 14 year old brother has this amazing ability.  I think his sense of humor is what gets me wrapped around his finger everytime, and we kind of have the same sense of humor.  The way he phrases things just makes me laugh like when he throws hydrogenated applesauce and fish tacos into mathematical equations for why things happen the way they do.  I know this doesn't make sense to anyone but him and myself but that's totally okay.  We have good memories together,  like him and I chillin in our basement, seeing Dan in Real Life together in theaters, going to Cafe Rio and Nelson's Frozen Custard for his birthday, and I can make the list go on.  Chip I love your face and I'm glad you are my crazy awesome brother.

Last Night

Last night was amazing.  I went to the Salt Lake Temple with some friends and did Baptisms for the Dead.  It was my first time in the Salt Lake Temple and it is so beautiful inside.  I am just so blessed for the knowledge I have about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I am grateful to be a part of such a wonderful religion.  The whole time I was in the temple, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude and felt sincerely blessed.   I couldn't ask for anything better than that.  Going to the temple was something I've been needing for a very long time, and especially after this exceptionally hard week with school, and I feel like I can handle this upcoming week a lot better.  I love the Temple!!

Studying...

A quote I once read goes like this  "Has anyone ever noticed that studying is STUDENT and DYING put together?" That's how I feel right now, me [a student] being stuck inside and wanting to do anything but what I should be doing [studying which equals dying].  I think I have studied more up at the U then I ever even considered doing at Dixie State, but it definitely is a good thing, and hopefully by the end of this semester, my grades will show for it.  [that's me trying to think positively].  I am a procrastinator,  I have been cleaning my apartment instead of studying [and blog stalking and posting], which leads me to my next problem...Tomorrow I have an exam in Health Psychology.  I do love the class, I just am nervous because liking a class doesn't necessarily mean I will get a perfect grade on the exam.  I can try though right?!! Ok, I will get back work.  [Wish me luck].

Presidents Day

Dear Self,
When you go home for a long weekend, you aren't suppose to come down with a cold.  Just throwin that out there.
Love,
Me

P.S.  St. George was good! I already miss the sunshine, especially when I come up here and its raining. But I'm not complaining or anything. :)

Update...

So last weekend I was in Provo, UT for my little sister's State Swim meet, and I had two tests this week and have just been busy with school, so I decided now would be a good time to catch up.  Jacee did so well in her races and she took three 3rd places and a 5th place in her events.  She was able to place in all her events.  I wasn't able to go to any of her other meets this year and I forgot how much I enjoy and get into watching people race! Too bad this was her last swimmeet in her high school career.  It was really great to spend time with my parents and Chipper and other family last weekend.
As for this week, besides being really busy,  I have made it a goal to become healthier and work out more often and I can seriously say I am excited for what's to come.  I'm so sore but I love the feeling.  I feel accomplished and healthier already!
Since it's Presidents Day Weekend and I have no school on Monday, I decided to come home to St. George for a few days.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE warm weather and I'm so grateful it's been so sunny today.  It was great not having to wear a sweatshirt or two today.  I like Salt Lake, but I wish so much it would be warmer.  It's been a good weekend so far.  I have spent time with my brother and sis in law, friends from high school, my family (obviously), and grandparents.  I've watched some of the Olympics, caught up on American Idol, worked out at Summit Athletic Club with Jacee and have just enjoyed being home.  I love playing with my family and I forget how much we tease and laugh and have fun with each other.  I'm also really excited to go to my college singles ward and catch up with more friends tomorrow.  I LOVE St. George!
